I apologize to everyone for not keeping these posts up to date! And keep in mind these might sound crazy now, but they were as of Week 0.
Draft Grades (Prior to Week 1)
whamburglars: Willem D. McHamston drafted several positions too high (a mediocre DEF in 8th round and Kicker in 9th round), picked up a SECOND DEF in the last round, and drafted some players who should be left off rosters..
Fortunately, he has AP who can hit home runs any given week, but it might not be enough to save him from a dismal season. D+
Best Pick: Colin Kaepernick (QB) 4th round (56)
Worst Picks: St. Louis (DEF) 8th round (112), Matt Bryant (K) 9th round (113), and Ben Roethlisberger (QB) 10th round (140)
Sleeper: Zach Sudfeld 13th (169)
Still Sleepy: Reigning Asterisk Champ Eric 'Angela' Ko decided to gamble a lot on young talent with his team and decided to get a QB extremely late. He also took many former star vets who are past their prime (R. White, A. Gates). Lots of high risk and possibly high reward on this team, but he just doesn't have the depth at RB. C
Best Pick: Lamar Miller (RB) 4th (55)
Worst Pick: Roddy White (WR) 3rd (30)
Sleeper: Tavon Austin (WR) 6th (83)
Forte Shades of Gray: I know I'm rating my own team, but I felt like I had the best draft in a while. Ray Rice is a big risk, but I'm banking on the PPR. Antonio Brown was taken a little high and there isn't much depth at QB unless Andrew Luck continues to improve from a stellar rookie campaign. B.
Best Pick: Anquan Boldin (WR) 6th (82)
Worst Pick: Antonio Brown (WR) 4th (54)
Sleeper: Tyler Eifert (TE) 14th (194)
Butt Fumblers: Wongook's team is very balanced and there are a some backups who might emerge as fantasy stars. They're both Texans, though (Tate, Hopkins). Greg Jennings might've gone a little high since Ponder might not be able to get the ball to him like Rodgers did and Steven Jackson is 30 and in a new offense. Still, a pretty safe team with no terrible picks and a stud QB in Brady. B+
Best Picks: Tom Brady (QB) 3rd (32), Desean Jackson (WR) 5th (60)
Worst Pick: Lance Moore (WR) 8th (88)
Sleepers: Ben Tate (RB) 9th (116), DeAndre Hopkins (WR) 10th (137)
17 Seconds: Fantasy vet Max hosted our draft party (thanks again) and we all had a fun draft (He should rename his team name to Team Johnson). He nabbed Calvin a bit early, but with this being a PPR league, taking the only 1st round-worthy WR is a good strategy. He is a little weak at RB, but he has depth at QB and WR. If Vick can stay healthy, he could be a gem with Chip Kelly's new system in Philly. He started the pattern of everyone taking defenses too early by taking hometown CHI in the 6th round. He might not have enough homerun power in his team to win each week. C-
Best Pick: Rashard Mendenhall (RB) 8th (108)
Worst Pick: Michael Floyd (WR) 7th (89)
Sleeper: Jared Cook (TE) 10th (136)
Long suffering: This team is scary. Arian fell due to preseason injury woes (but he should be good to go) and he was able to secure an amazing receiving core; all three of his WRs should be able to eclipse 1000 and 8 TDs with ease. Aside from the TE position, I see almost no weakness in this team that P. Rich drafted while watching his boys at the same time. A-
Best Pick: Jordy Nelson (WR) 5th (62)
Worst Pick: Shane Vereen (RB) 8th (107)
Sleepers: Alshon Jeffery (WR) 7th (90), Bilal Powell (RB) 14th (191)
Taste Dwayne Bowe: Paul Ahn loves the Chiefs and he got his team's namesake in Bowe (and he got him at a good position). His WRs are solid, but his RBs are definitely risky. CJ Spiller might've gone a little high at 7 with his rookie QB and Lacy himself is a rookie(but he has a lot of upside in a big offense). Romo will be good for him for the first 12 weeks of the season and then crap out the last 5 weeks as he typically does. B-
Best Pick: Dwayne Bowe (WR) 3rd (35)
Worst Pick: Mark Ingram (RB) 8th (106)
Sleepers: Eddie Lacy (RB) 4th (50), Mohamed Sanu (WR) 13th (175)
Chitowntiger7: Eddie's team looks awesome... if it were 2011. Still, that means these are players who are proven and just might need a little something to get them back to where they were. He has a great group of receivers (Aside from Decker, he got them at value picks) and Julio Jones improves every year. With Chip Kelly's new offense, Shady McCoy might anchor his team every week while Stafford at QB can put up big numbers. He'll have two iffy TEs, but he secured the best DEF in fantasy (and it wasn't even the first DEF taken). His grade would be higher if he didn't take Decker so high (he forgot that PPR beast Wes Welker went to Denver). C
Best Picks: Emmanuel Sanders (WR) 8th (105), Malcom Floyd (WR) 9th (120)
Worst Pick: Eric Decker (WR) 3rd (36)
Sleeper: Martellus Bennett (TE) 10th (133)
No Peng No Game: P. Eric took a lot of risk on younger players on this team. He has good depth at RB and Reggie Bush might go nuts with it being PPR. He took a huge risk on Gronkowski in the 4th round as he would've been available much later. We'll see how Gio Bernard works out in Cincy next to the Law Firm, Green-Ellis and whether the chemistry between rookie Kenbrell Thompkins and his QB Brady continue to flourish. Knowing Gronk would be hurt, he took another risky young player in Browns TE Jordan Cameron (He took him nice and late though, unlike his other risks, which went TOO high). Still, even if all these risks pay off, there just isn't enough depth at WR/TE and that is a problem in a PPR league. But if all these risky picks pan out, Penger looks brilliant. D+
Best Picks: Trent Richardson (RB) 1st (9), Reggie Bush (RB) 2nd (20)
Worst Picks: Rob Gronkowski (TE) 4th (48), Kenny Britt (WR) 8th (104)
Sleepers: Giovani Bernard (RB) 6th (76), Kenbrell Thompkins (WR) 7th (93)
bon nuit monsieur! I used google translate to see what this meant in French and it means, "Good night sir!" If Dave's team was bad, I'd say something witty like, "and that's what I'd say to your team, Dave!" However, his auto-drafted team is pretty good, so I can't say that. He got Beast Mode with the 10th pick; I know he's not much of a receiving RB, but he gets enough rushing stats and dump passes to be a top 3 RB. Cam Newton is a terrible QB, but is premier for fantasy. Vernon Davis might be the #1 receiver in SF some weeks with Crabtree out of commission. With this team being autodrafted, it is automatically balanced, but there isn't much space for 'risk' or sleepers. On paper though, the team looks solid. B+
Best Pick: Marshawn Lynch (RB) 1st (10)
Worst Pick: Golden Tate (WR) 6th (75)
Sleepers: Bernard Pierce (RB) 10th (131), Coby Fleener (TE) 14th (187)
Mr. Rodgers' NBHOOD He has so much power with Rodgers and Graham; he could have the #1 players in two positions for most of the season. However, this comes with a price and John's price was WR. He easily has the weakest WR core in the league and that could hurt in PPR. Torrey Smith is alone with Anquan gone and there isn't much more here. Frank Gore loses many of his goal line TDs to Kaep and even Kendall Hunter, so I think he went a tad high for John. Still, he was desperate for a RB and maybe Steelers speedster rookie RB Le'Veon Bell could pay off (sadly, he was hurt in pre-season a few days after the draft). When Rodgers isn't scoring dozens of points, John might have some difficult weeks (fortunately, Rodgers rarely has those weeks). B
Best Picks: Aaron Rodgers (QB) 1st (11), Jimmy Graham (TE) 2nd (18)
Worst Pick: BenJarvus Green-Ellis (RB) 7th (95)
Sleeper: Le'Veon Bell (RB) 6th (74)
Juliagoolia Jon Kong had two good first rounds, but it might be downhill from there for this team. Forte will kill it in PPR and Brees at pick 17 is a steal. Colston has his moments, but Jon's own QB tends to air it out to all his receivers and it'll be too inconsistent. Denarius Moore is the clearcut WR1 in Oakland, but there is QB turmoil on the Raiders. Jon drafted two Broncos RBs, but John Lee might've taken the starter (AFTER Jon took the other two RBs); still, people are high on Montee Ball. Jon is relatively new to fantasy football and it seems obvious. D+
Best Pick: Drew Brees (QB) 2nd (17)
Worst Pick: Marques Colston (WR) 3rd (40)
Sleepers: Montee Ball (RB) 6th (73), Denarius Moore (WR) 9th (124)
Dirty Birds Jones Dr. Stan also autodrafted, but it didn't work out for him as it did for his roomie Dave Chung. Maybe Eileen should've drafted for him. Alfred Morris might hit a sophomore slump with his stud QB RG3 recovering from a major injury; still, Adrian Peterson showed us what can happen in the NFL after a serious knee injury. Stan's autodraft gave him first 6 players from the Redskins and Cowboys and I don't know how I feel about those two teams; lots of potential, but lots of questions. Stan's team is still very scary each week and doesn't have glaring holes. But when the Redskins and Cowboys have bye weeks, Stan's team should be easy wins for opponents. B-
Best Pick: RG3 (QB) 5th (69)
Worst Pick: Chris Givens (WR) 7th (97)
Sleeper: Chris Givens (WR) 7th (97), Julian Edelman (WR) 14th (184)
FlySixPhiEagles Depaul's team is actually insane at the WR and RB positions. Too bad his QB is junk. If TY Hilton pans out, he might be able to trade one of his WRs for a great QB and balance his team out. His RBs are a bit weak and are both barely winners of their own team's RB battles. He'll have to hit the waiver wires early and often; but his WRs are strong and in a PPR league, that could be enough to win a week. C+
Best Picks: Danny Amendola (WR) 3rd (42), TY Hilton (WR) 6th (71)
Worst Pick: David Wilson (RB) 4th (43)
Sleepers: TY Hilton, Carson Palmer (QB) 9th (126)
