Week 3 MotWs

Since I didn't do it for Weeks 1-3, I'll do TWO MotWs.

2Mr. Rodgers' NBHOOD (John) vs 4Dirty Birds Jones (Stan)
High Ranking Matchup
QB: Rodgers went on a tear W2 and RG3 seems to still be recovering from his knee tear last season. Griffin will have to face a scary defensive line in Detroit and Rodgers looks like he'll light up the Bengals. Edge: John
WR: Still, John has the weakest WRs in the league and Stan has one of the best in Dez. Though Dez tweaked his ankle, he'll still destroy the Rams weak defense. John's best WR, Cecil Shorts, will probably get dominated by #1 CB Richard Sherman and give John single digits. Edge: Stan
RB: John got lucky and his late round pick, Moreno ended up being the starter in Denver. Who knew? Still, Alfred Morris and Demarco Murray (on Rams) is too much. Edge: Stan
TE: Jimmy Graham. This matchup will always go to John (Still, Witten won't put up a stinker against the easy Rams D) #always Edge: John
K/DEF: Walsh has been a great young kicker for the Vikes, but look for Brady and the Pats to put up a ton of offense against the Bucs. Look for both defenses to allow a lot of points, but I think the Bengals might be on the wrong end of another Rodgers TD barrage. Edge: John

Stan is lucky so many of his players are playing against St. Louis and it might be just enough to outscore the Discount Double Check pitchman. Winner: Dirty Birds Jones (Stan).

14Taste Dwayne Bowe (Paul Ahn) vs 13Juliagoolia (Jon)
Toilet Bowl
QB: Both QBs go against weak defenses, but Romo's production will depend on Dez' health. Look for an angry Brees to come back from a bad week 2 to light up the Cardinals. Edge: Jon
WR: Demaryius Thomas and Bowe have great matchups, as does Colston for Jon. Mike Wallace recovered in a big way in W2 and looks to continue this pattern. It's just too difficult for Jon's WRs to matchup as their QBs might air it out to other receivers. Edge: Paul
RB: Both owners have very good RB1s, but terrible RB2s. Let's matchup each one. Pittsburgh's been giving up a lot of big runs and Forte will continue to do so. Edge: Forte. Turbin vs. Pierre Thomas? No one cares.... Edge: Jon
TE: Schaub loves Owen Daniels in the end zone, especially since he always seems to get open. Olsen gets more targets though as there isn't as many weapons in Carolina. Edge: Paul
K/DEF: Prater might not see much action since Peyton is so efficient in the red zone and I think the Niners will actually keep the Colts out of the end zone and give Vinatieri a busy kicking day. KC has a tough matchup in Philly tonight and Denver has an easier one with Oakland. Edge: Jon

Whoever loses this matchup will have an extremely tough time digging themselves out of an 0-3 hole. It'll be closer than most people think, but I see Pawl falling to 0-3 in this early season Toilet Bowl. Winner: Juliagoolia (Jon)
